The assault rifle is the standard weapon of UNSC forces. They mostly appear with Marines.

MA37[]
The MA37, known as the MA5A by the Navy and Marine Corps, is a fully automatic, gas-operated 7.62x51mm bullpup assault rifle, with a 32 round magazine. It appears in Halo: Reach, and on the cover of the 2010 re-release of Halo: The Fall of Reach.
The MA37 appears in the Fall 2011 sets.
MA5B[]
The MA5B ICWS, which appeared in Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo Wars, is an update of the MA37, which replaced its predecessor in the Navy and Marine Corps. Like the MA37, it is a fully automatic, gas-operated 7.62x51mm bullpup assault rifle. The magazine size has been increased to 60 rounds, the internal components are fully modular, and weapon is designed to be entirely disassembled and reassembled, allowing it to be reconfigured and internally integrated with attachments like grenade launchers, flamethrowers, and under-slung shotguns (the weapon is issued with an integrated flashlight). The MA5B is the preferred weapon of the SPARTAN-IIs, having trained with it more extensively than any other weapon. However, the MA5B was much more prone to jamming than the older MA37, since the larger amount of cartridges in the magazine could stress the springs, which would result in cartridges being unable to enter the firing chamber.
The MA5B was the original assault rifle released by Mega Bloks, and has several different variants.
